“ Great place with well smoked, quality brisket. Owners couldn’t be nicer. Definitely worth a stop. [updated on May 3, 2025] I would like to add to my previous review. We visited again tonight. It was our first time back in town since our last visit and make no doubt about it, the quality of food and service continues to be top notch. You can’t beat the brisket and you’ll never find nicer, more caring proprietors. Like an idiot, I managed to get my truck and trailer stuck in their yard while trying to leave. Becky and Wes stopped what they were doing and patiently worked with my son and I until we were unstuck. Unfortunately I completely destroyed their yard but they were too kind to accept payment to repair. I owe them big time and will repay through visits every time we are near which honestly will be more of a gift for me than them. I hope anyone reading this review will pay them a visit as well. You will not be disappointed. ”
“ Nice quaint country setting kinda off the beaten path. Had the brisket and spicy pinto beans with homemade country cornbread. Beans are top notch and goes well with mini cornbread. Brisket had a nice smoke ring and was not dry. Had just the correct amount of fat and moisture. For drinks, look to Mexican Coca-Cola or Dublin sodas all made with real sugar. If you travel near Bowie, take the short drive to stop in and grab a nice meal. ”

“ Great bbq restaurant. We stopped by on our way from Oklahoma. Brisket was our favorite. Corn bread were tender and not too sweet. The different pickles and candies jalapenos were a very nice compliment. Don’t forget the dessert. Excellent hospitality and clean bathrooms. ”
